CRTIC's own conversational assistant built on nanochat, Andrej Karpathy's small open language model. It is fine-tuned on a synthetic dataset that represents the centre's identity (culture, tone, colours) and the interface was rebuilt to the technocreative standard. In development; the main lesson was about scale: a small model memorises a personality before it understands it. ![Image of the project CRTIC-Chat](https://apexdesign.cl/projects/crtic-chat.webp) ## Project file - **Year:** 2026 - **Family:** [Applied AI](https://apexdesign.cl/en/files) - **Author:** [Alexander Frings](https://apexdesign.cl/en/about), Design Engineer with an MSc in Innovation and Design - **Map:** [Tool, on the digital side](https://apexdesign.cl/en/map) ## Technologies and topics - LLM - nanochat - Fine-tuning - Chatbot - CRTIC ## Related service - [AI for innovation](https://apexdesign.cl/en/services#ia-para-la-innovacion): Teams and organisations that want to create new solutions (apps, websites, services) and do not know where to start. ## Related projects - [ActiveUnlock: Exergaming](https://apexdesign.cl/en/files/activeunlock) (2026), shares CRTIC: CRTIC research and prototype on body-tracked physical play to increase active breaks at work.
